At Family Life FGA KL, our counsellors uphold biblical values and are trained in specialized techniques to empower positive change.

She holds a Master of Counselling, MA in Pastoral Counselling, Dip in Psychology & BSc. She is certified in Couples Therapy (EFT), Graduate Certificate in Family therapy, Trauma therapy (EMDR), Crisis Incidence and Stress Management, Psychological First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Prepare-Enrich Assessment and Marriage Coaching. She has undergone personal work (2018) and training (2019) from the Master Family Therapist Prof. Dr. Maurizio Andolfi.
Lillian provides family, couple, individual and group counselling, working through a systemic and wholistic lens. She integrates the understanding of psychology and spiritual principles, applying multiple perspectives and approaches to support client's resources and desired outcomes. She firmly believes in the therapeutic effect of the self of the therapist and that when a client is willing to be vulnerable and open to insights, half their struggle is won.
She is deeply passionate about helping individuals, couples and families grow in their relationships so that they may fulfill their destiny in God. She devotes much time in training, mentoring and seeing more competent counsellors serving the community. She facilitates opportunities for volunteers to be trained and serve in support groups and psychoeducational areas like parenting, marriage, coaching, grief and many other family and counselling-related courses.
She has also been involving in various educational institutions since 2004 in the capacity of a student counsellor, senior lecturer and trainer. Her doctorate is in counsellor education and supervision from Regent University, USA.
She is currently the Dean of Counselling Studies at Alpha Omega International College (AOIC), board member of National Association of Christian Counsellors (NACC) Malaysia and an active member of Family Life at Full Gospel Assembly (FGA), KL, her home church.
Mei Leng finds delight in nature walks, God's universe, food, creativity, learning, soul care, spiritual formation, and authentic connections.
In the last 15 years, Philomena has had a burden for victims of human trafficking as well as the poor and marginalized. In order to help them more effectively, she completed a Masters in Pastoral Counselling at Alpha Omega International College in 2012 and volunteered as a Counsellor at Family Life FGA KL. While working with those with mental health challenges, Philomena has seen the need to be more equipped especially in the area of trauma counselling. Philomena also holds a Masters in Counselling, having graduated from Open University Malaysia in 2024.
Souk Kuein holds a Bachelor's in Economic (Business Administration) from the University of Malaya and a Master's in Pastoral Counselling from AOIC. She has also attained a Marriage Coaching Certificate through a program conducted and organized by FGA KL. Souk Kuein is fully open to working with people of all ethnicities and spiritual traditions, particularly interested in working with individuals, couples and group works.
Souk Kuein is married with one adult daughter, currently worshipping in a church around Petaling Jaya. She delights in funny movies, good books, and great coffee.
Lo utilises tools and techniques like, but not limited to, play therapy, sand tray, psycho-dynamic analysis, cognitive behaviour’s solutions focus and automatic thought patterns, to look at the issues presented. Lo believes in the client’s strengthen and feel honoured to journey with the client in restoring relationships that are of significance to the client. For we are one body in Christ, and individually we belong to each other (Romans 12:5).
Lo holds a Master in Pastoral Counselling from Alpha Omega International College, Malaysia, and Diploma in Multigenerational Family Therapy from Accademia di Psicoterapia della Famiglia, Italy. Lo has studied under Mr Andrew Ng, a pioneer in Play Therapy in Malaysia; Dr Ting Liu, Ph.D., certified Emotionally Focused Therapy; Dr Robert Rhoton, President at the Trauma Institute International; completed Level 1 & 2 clinical training on Gottman Method Couple Therapy, and others.
She holds a BSc and MBA from University of California, Santa Barbara and University of Wisconsin at Madison (USA) and has more than 20 years experience in the corporate world (Banking, Marketing & Promotion of U.S. products, Foreign government aid programs, etc. in Malaysia and Singapore). She was called into Missions in 2011 an obtained an MA in Global Studies (Missions) and an MA in Pastoral Counseling from Columbia International University (CIU), South Carolina, USA in 2014. She was subsequently trained in member care (missionary care) by Heartstream Resources (USA). She has worked as a Member Care facilitator for Pioneers in Asia (Singapore) for almost 4 years. She has been providing counselling in FGA Family Life since 2015. She also represents Heartstream Resources in Malaysia.
She specializes in providing counselling for missionaries, ministry workers and people that have relationship and transition problems.

Audrey’s heart for Family Mediation was further fuelled when she experienced the benefits of Family Mediation that saw the amazing potential of matters being resolved through reopened lines of communication between family members.
She now combines her experience in the legal field with her Mediation training to provide a neutral, non-judgmental environment to assist clients with finding mutually beneficial solutions in a cost effective way.
She has a heart for young adults and has a steadfast and growing compassion for their mental health and emotional needs. As a counsellor, she sees herself as a fellow pilgrim who would journey along with others through life’s difficult moments.
Deborah currently worships with her family at Wellspring Baptist Sanctuary, Petaling Jaya. She is married with two young children whom she loves and cares for deeply.
Jane equipped herself with Master of Counselling to provide a more comprehensive help to those seeking emotional and psychological help. She has seen a wide range of clients including individuals, teenagers and couples. Prior to being a counsellor, she was a lecturer at a local university specializing in accounting. Her passion for helping those who cannot afford expensive therapy propelled her to become a registered counsellor. Her personal life experiences are an added advantage.
Holding a Master in Counselling, MSc in Medical Physics and a BSc in Therapeutic Radiography, with a career journey that spans from medical physics to management to counselling, Catherine brings a unique blend of expertise to the therapy room. Catherine is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, offering comprehensive support to individuals and couples.
Beyond work, Catherine enjoys outdoor sports, literature, and volunteering as a facilitator for DivorceCare Support Group.
As the Communities Building Manager at Autrui Global since 2020, Carmen oversees healthcare access and crisis support for diverse refugee communities, demonstrating her commitment to humanitarian efforts. Previously, as Partnership Leads at Yayasan Generasi Gemilang from 2014 to 2020, Carmen spearheaded financial education initiatives in over 100 schools and collaborated with government bodies to implement impactful programs. Carmen excels in conducting various forms of therapy and case management functions, making her a valuable asset in the field of counselling.
She is a recent licensed-counsellor open to self-growth and adventures in learning. Her foundation lies closely in seeking meaning in life and exploring one’s life stories for clues to the issues at hand. She values integrations of approaches and tailors them to meet the needs of those who seek help. As a counsellor, she believes in providing a safe space, a listening ear, and simply being present with clients.

Jean recently completed her Master's in Professional Counselling from Monash University. She also holds a certification in Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy and undergoing certification in Brainspotting Trauma Therapy. Jean practice Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and integrates various therapeutic approaches tailored to individual needs. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, she is dedicated to healing hearts and restoring lives. Her expertise spans marital, family, and relationship issues, as well as anxiety, trauma, depression, and career transitions. With a belief in lifelong learning and self-discovery, Jean is committed to empowering her clients to lead fulfilling lives aligned with their values.

One of the first things she shares about herself is that she is a wife and a mother of two children, having moved from Norway to Malaysia two years ago. She loves working cross-culturally and is always eager to learn new things, have a good cup of coffee, or take a nature walk.
After working through her twenties as a social worker with refugees and drug addicts in Norway, she decided to move to Malaysia to partake in a church as well as become a counsellor. As a counsellor, she works from a cognitive behavioral therapy framework, including family systemic therapy and trauma sensitivity. Helen has about 15 years’ experience volunteering in church with children and youth, as well as pastoral care.
Helen is passionate about healing the heart, restoring lives, walking through the process of grieving, understanding oneself, and discovering strengths and dreams for the future. She looks forward to working together on whatever is on your heart, believing that step by step, you can move forward together, and with God, nothing is impossible.
Her approach blends professional expertise with genuine care, ensuring that each client feels heard, valued, and supported. Zhao Tong is also experienced in conducting psychological assessments and tailoring recommendations to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Beyond her clinical aspirations, she is deeply committed to mental health advocacy, organizing workshops and community programs to promote awareness and support. Guided by a heartfelt belief in the resilience of the human spirit, Zhao Tong strives to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those she works with.

Siew Ching's passion lies in seeing the healing of hearts, relationships, and families. She believes that there is always hope, even in the darkest of situations. Through counselling, she hopes to be able to provide a listening ear to those who feel stuck, explore options together to help them see the light at the end of the tunnel. In her free time, she enjoys reading, taking long walks, and catching up with family and friends over coffee.

As an intern counselor at Monash University, Lydia is currently pursuing a Masters in Professional Counseling and is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which serves as the cornerstone of her approach in therapy. She believes in the power of collaboration and values the deep connection formed through trust, honesty, and faith. Lydia’s ultimate goal is to create a respectful and empathetic therapeutic alliance, working together with clients to develop a personalized plan that fosters peace of mind and builds resilience for life.
Whether it’s the first time or the hundredth time seeing a counsellor, Lydia is ready to walk alongside each individual on their journey of growth and self-discovery, meeting them where they are and supporting them as they move forward. Lydia is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, ensuring that clients from diverse backgrounds feel comfortable and understood.

Her counselling journey is shaped by a deep curiosity about people’s inner worlds and the stories that make them who they are. She believes that while struggles and pain are part of life, each individual has the capacity to find meaning, strength, and resilience through them.
Adeline hopes to walk alongside her clients in their journeys of growth and self-discovery, supporting them in exploring their emotions, relationships, and sense of purpose. Beyond her role as a trainee therapist, she also enjoys reading, writing, or spending time with family and friends, which helps her stay grounded and connected to life.

With fluency in multiple languages and exposure to various cultures, Jane recognises and values the unique stories each client brings. She believes that even in moments of difficulty, there are opportunities for meaning, growth, and renewed perspective.
In her practice, Jane primarily integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy. Her approach focuses on helping clients explore the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, while also supporting them in reshaping the stories they tell about themselves and their lives. She is committed to creating a safe, collaborative, and supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood.
In her free time, Jane also enjoys creating music, crocheting, watching anime, and photography.

Drawn to mental health by her own early experiences of intense, unnamed emotions, Ivy trained in psychology to better understand human behaviour and to help others find language and safety around their feelings.
She is passionate about reducing stigma and increasing awareness of mental health, especially in this culture where mental health issues is still being stigmatized.
Ivy’s areas of interest include depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict, emotion regulation, and personal growth. She adopts a compassionate, client-centred approach and aims to create a safe, accepting environment where clients can explore difficult emotions, develop practical coping skills, and move toward healing and greater self-understanding.
Ivy believes that emotional pain is valid and worthy of care. She’s committed to walking alongside clients through both the hills and valleys of their lives.

Ching Ching’s approach in therapy is based on Person-Centred Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy, which emphasise the importance of acknowledging, understanding and transforming emotional experiences. In her sessions, she will take time to explore your emotional experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together with her, you will make sense of your experiences and she will help you find the clarity you need to heal and move forward.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, pulling us in different directions. It’s easy to feel caught in a web of doubt, vulnerability and despair. Yet, she has always been awed with how resourceful and resilient we humans are when faced with challenges. Sometimes, all we need is a little support or compassion to draw strength. Other times, we just need a safe emotional resting place to regain inner stability. As your counsellor, she hopes to provide you with just that – a space where you feel safe to explore your deepest emotions, and experience healing and growth.
